Little Big Endian is a team of experienced and hard-working solutions developers who provide software consulting and custom development services for a wide variety of platforms and needs. We have an extensive track-record of success building software and hardware solutions that range from low-level disk-compression drivers to mission critical three-tier database-driven distributed web applications. Software we have written is used by millions of users, has handled millions of transactions, and our client list includes major software companies such as Microsoft, Apple, Adobe, and Macromedia.

We employee four engineers full time and several contractors on an as-needed basis. The dedicated team that makes up LBE, are:

Steve Kiene
With more than 18 years of experience writing software, Steve started his first company, MindVision Software, while still in high school in 1987. Its primary product, Installer VISE, quickly became the best-selling and most widely used Macintosh installer, and is used today by all major software makers including Apple, Microsoft, and Adobe. Steve also developed Stacker for Macintosh and co-authored the Connectix bestseller, Speed Doubler. In 1999, Steve started his second company, eSellerate, which produces software for the growing online sales and e-commerce industries. Built on Oracle and .NET technologies, last year eSellerate did business in more than 160 countries and had sales of $40 million. While retiring from his duties as CEO and Chief Architect last year, he is still involved with both companies. However, he spends the majority of his time now working on custom development projects. He recently completed development work for a major hardware vendor on a Linux network appliance that optimizes high volumes of VoIP traffic. Steve brings a vast wealth of technical, strategic, and leadership experience in developing highly-successful software products.

Brian Gansemer
A graduate of Creighton University in 1989 (BSBA, magna cum laude), Brian is a software development professional with over 15 years of experience writing software for a wide variety of applications. He has written software for many industries, including healthcare, education, software developer tools, e-commerce, networking, entertainment, and kiosk. After working for several years developing medical management software, he became one of the earliest members of the MindVision development team, and was a major contributor to most of the software products developed at MindVision and eSellerate over the next 10 years. In addition to being a Senior Engineer, he also served in other roles, including Project Manager, Director of Engineering, and President. After serving as the sole DBA and server-side .NET web applications engineer for an entertainment and kiosk company last year, Brian joined back up with Steve in 2005 to become a part of the current team. Brian brings a wealth of experience and expertise in developing software for almost all major platforms and environments.

Ben Rush
Ben is the youngest but perhaps brightest member of the team. After spending his free time developing debuggers and testing tools as a quality assurance professional for one of the leading eCommerce companies in the world, his talents were eventually recognized and he was wisely moved into an engineering position to continue his pursuits. In very short order, he quickly established the reputation as the best person to tackle the most difficult tasks. A fiercely quick and dedicated study, he often found himself delving into the depths of Windows and Linux, writing both high and low-level applications out of fun and a desire to understand "how stuff works". His experience covers many technologies and programming disciplines from ATL, MFC, .Net (1.0, 1.1 and 2.0), Win32, COM (DCOM and COM+) and WinINET to Windows and Linux shell and network device driver applications. Ben brings one of the most talented and energetic problem-solving minds in the software industry to the team.

Brian Sutter
At 42, Brian is the old guy of the bunch. He got his first programming job in 1983 coding Basic on Wang, Televideo and Apple II computers. From there he worked for 8 years writing healthcare office management software. He was then lured away by a young kid named Steve Kiene who was operating a new company called MindVision Software out of his basement. His first task was writing test tools for a disk-compression product called Stacker. After that he wrote Installer VISE, an installer program for the Apple Macintosh computer which is used by many of the largest software companies in the world. After Installer VISE was established, Brian helped develop a major e-commerce system for eSellerate, a subsidiary of MindVision Software. Over the years, Brian has been part of development teams doing contract work for several major software companies, including Microsoft, Adobe Systems, and Apple Computer. Brian’s expertise in networking, file systems, and application programming is a valuable addition to the Little Big Endian team.
